What kind of reputation do you have? Are you known as a caring parent, a hard worker, or maybe even as a devout Christian? Do you like your reputation, or would you change it if you could?
D.L. Moody certainly had a reputation…and it was one that was defined by the Great Commission.
On one particular occasion, Moody grabbed a young man who had just come in from the countryside, and in his usual manner, asked him, “Are you a Christian?”
“It’s none of your business,” the young man curtly replied.
“Yes it is,” was the pastor’s reassurance.
“Then you must be D. L. Moody!” said the stranger.
Moody was known as an evangelist. What would our world look like if we were, too?
