Another episode of The World’s Dumbest Crooks….
Here’s a helpful hint: If you want to rob a bank, leave your wallet at home.
On October 28, 2010, Jorman Sampaio donned sugical gloves and ran into the Union State Bank in Destin, Florida with a pistol, heaps of desperation, and apparently, his wallet. A few minutes later, he fled the scene with his pistol, $6,000 in stolen money, but without his wallet.
Okaloosa County law enforcement told reporters that a citizen of the small town turned in the wallet found near the crime scene. In it was Sampaio’s ID…which contained his address. When authorities searched his residence, they found a pistol, surgical gloves, and cash.
Busted.
In times like these, one must ask, “What were you thinking?!?!” Was he carrying his wallet so he could put the stolen money in it? Geez.
The Bible rings true again:
“and you may be sure that your sin will find you out.”
