Let’s say you were going to steal a car. (Just go with me here for a moment, OK?) What kind of car would you nab? A luxury car? A sports car? A classic of some sort? Maybe something less conspicuous? With so many options, choosing the best one should be pretty easy.
But somehow, Josh Carter chose the absolute worst car in the world to steal.
While on a stroll through Shreveport on the afternoon of August 1, 2012, 25-year-old Josh Carter of Princeton, Louisiana decided he didn’t want to be on a stroll any longer…so he ran up to a car that was stopped at a traffic light and began pulling on the handles, demanding that the driver open the door. Unfortunately for the young crook, that particular car was an unmarked police car, and the driver was a member of the Louisiana State Police…who just happened to be giving two members of the U.S. Marshals a ride.
Yep. The only way this moron could have made it worse for himself would be trying to steal a SWAT van.
When he finally realized that he was trying to carjack the police, Carter fled the scene. The chase was a short one, and the would-be crook was taken into custody without incident.
If only more criminals were as dumb as this one….
