Mrs. Terry went to the doctor’s office with a bit of trouble; uncontrollable hiccups. It wasn’t long before she was politely escorted into an examination room and seen by one of the new doctors. But just 4 minutes later, she burst from the room, and ran down the hall screaming like a banshee.
Hearing the commotion, one of the older doctors stopped her, calmed her down, and asked her what was wrong. When she’d finally composed herself, she told him what happened. When she finished, the doctor had her sit down and relax in another room.
The older doctor stormed down the hallway where the new doctor was. He flung open the door and shouted, “What’s the matter with you? Mrs. Terry is 83-years-old, has four grown children and seven grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?!”
The new doctor didn’t even look up from his clipboard; he just sarcastically asked, “Does she still have the hiccups?”
Mrs. Terry had her problem solved, but in a way she didn’t quite like. You might not always like the way God handles the problems in your life, but He knows what He’s doing.
